Grounded

We live and work on a wild farmstead in rural Cornwall, surrounded by five acres of meadow and temperate woodland. Over the past twelve years we’ve planted hundreds of trees here, shaping our own small nature reserve. This is also home to our studio, there’s no commute - just a daily connection between our work, our family, and the landscape around us.

Local Manufacture

All of our products are designed and made as close to home as possible. Much of the work happens in our studio and for specialist processes we collaborate with skilled local makers, all within half an hour’s drive. Supporting the local economy matters to us and working with craftspeople we know and trust ensures both quality and integrity.

Sustainability

We began our journey using vintage textiles - breathing new life into existing fabrics - this ethos of resourcefulness remains at the heart of what we do. Our timber is always sustainably sourced and certified and every decision we make considers the environmental impact. For us, making by hand on a small scale is an intentional choice in a world of mass, offshore manufacture.

Meaningful Work

Crafting physical, handmade objects brings meaning to our lives, and we hope that sense of care and authenticity carries through into every parasol we create. Each piece is a reflection of our values: creativity as a way of life, respect for nature, support for our community and a belief in the power of small-scale making.
