About Us
Founded in 2011 by artist couple Charlie and Katy Napier, the Sunbeam Jackie studio is based on an ancient farmstead in West Cornwall, UK. Both trained sculptors, Charlie and Katy bring a shared sensibility for form, design and textiles, which continues to inspire and energise their work.
Our Story
The very first limited edition run of parasols were commissioned by Glastonbury Festival 2011, these were spotted simultaneously by Mark Homewood, head-buyer for Designers Guild and Josie Da Bank the creative director of Bestival Ltd.
Having grown from making one-off parasols on a bespoke basis to making custom parasol collections for commercial projects and working with leading designers, Sunbeam Jackie has been quietly making a name for itself as one of the most exclusive parasol makers around.
Over the years, Sunbeam Jackie has collaborated with celebrated names including Liberty of London, Rossana Orlandi Gallery, Mint Gallery, 1stDibs, Designers Guild, House of Hackney, Soho House and the Pig Hotels. Private commissions have included Hollywood clients such as Kate Winslet, Liv Tyler and the late, great Carrie Fisher.
Their clients are creative individuals who connect with the artistry behind the work - choosing these pieces as much for their spirit as their purpose.
Sunbeam Jackie pieces grace some of the most extraordinary locations worldwide, from private estates to luxury hotels and exclusive venues. We have had the privilege of working with esteemed institutions, visionary designers, and collectors who share our appreciation for art-led design.
